Worth knowing before you go
- Closed / restricted: Power and electric wheelchairs cannot board — the ride is accessible for manual wheelchairs and prams, with staff slowing the cars to assist.
- Book ahead: Vouchers bought through third-party apps must be exchanged for a physical ticket at the on-site counter before you can board — there is a separate queue for this.
- Crowds: Queues build on weekends and public holidays; weekday mornings are the quietest, and the last departure from any station is at 9:30pm.
- Getting there: Mount Faber station is not directly served by MRT or bus — a taxi or Grab is the most straightforward approach, and the Harbourfront station is the easier public-transport option.
- Cost: Only round-trip tickets are available on the Mount Faber Line; there is no single one-way fare, so the return leg is included regardless.
- Cost: The SkyOrb glass-floor upgrade is an extra SGD 15 per person and is only available on the Mount Faber Line, not the Sentosa Island line.
- Condition: Many cabin windows carry Pokemon stickers and advertising overlays that reduce the view; the SkyOrb cabins and the Sentosa Line are noticeably less affected.
- Facilities: Cabins are not air-conditioned and rely on open windows for ventilation — they get warm and humid in the afternoon, especially after rain.
